This is truly a beautiful bronze (I believe) ink well depicting a Dutch Boy ( I believe) with a basket of some sort.
I have been told it is a fishing basket or picnic basket.
Could very well be a birds nest as it has 3 egg shaped figures and a partial branch on top
Glass insert is probably not original as it appears to have been cut to fit the ink well.
This would look great on anyone’s desk
